Culebra Falls

 
This piece was inspired by a trip to Culebra where I found loads of sea urchin bodies and other great shells. The sandblasted dalle pieces and fused elements are hand tied and hanging from the front rim by steel rods that are glued in holes that I drilled in the rim and the covering glass elements. I don’t like relying on glue alone whenever possible. I welded the steel base and finished it with black and silver paint.
